01

Background

Repositioning a Public Health Authority as a Community Partner

The Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County (ADAMH) embarked on a comprehensive rebranding initiative to reposition the organization as the county’s trusted authority on equitable, accessible mental health and addiction services.

The effort aimed to modernize the organization’s visual identity, reduce stigma surrounding care, and strengthen awareness of the extensive network of community-based resources available to Franklin County residents.

As part of a multidisciplinary creative team, Shené supported the development and execution of the rebrand by contributing to campaign asset creation, visual storytelling, and photography direction that helped bring the new brand to life across multiple touchpoints.

“Create a modern, approachable, and community-centered brand experience — reintroducing ADAMH through a refreshed visual identity that reduces stigma and connects residents with care.”

01

Help

Communicating that support is available, accessible, and within reach for every Franklin County resident seeking it.

02

Healing

03

04

Hope

The emotional anchor of the entire campaign — affirming that with the right support, recovery and a better life are possible.

02

Opportunity

Turning Stigma into Access Through Design

Mental health and addiction services are often accompanied by misunderstanding, stigma, and barriers to access. ADAMH needed a refreshed identity that felt welcoming, trustworthy, and human while communicating its role as the organization responsible for planning and funding mental health and addiction services throughout Franklin County.

The challenge was to create campaign visuals that balanced empathy and optimism with credibility and authority. Every image, message, and design element needed to help residents see themselves reflected in the work while encouraging them to seek support without fear or judgment.
